Devils and Realist (魔界王子) is a Japanese media franchise originally written by Madoka Takadono and illustrated by Utako Yukihiro. It follows the story of seventeen-year-old William Twining who discovers, after his aristocrat family's bankruptcy, that he is a descendant of King Solomon who has power over the demons known as the seventy-two pillars and that he is the one who can choose the interim ruler over Hell until its emperor Lucifer returns. William, who is a scientific realist, does not believe in demons and refuses to become involved in their stuggles but is often pulled into their affairs against his will.

In the series there is a character based on Gilles de Rais which sometimes goes by the name "Bluebeard". This character has very little to do with the original fairytale however for sake of thoroughness they must be mentioned here. In the anime and drama CDs he is voiced by Kousuke Toriumi.

A musical adaptation of the series directed by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi ran between June 1st, 2016 to June 5th at the Zenrōsai Hall Space Zero in Shibuya, Tokyo. Masato Saki played Gilles de Rais. A sequel to the first musical was performed in 2017 from November 4th to November 12th at Shinjuku FACE also directed by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi. Masato Saki reprised his roles as Gilles de Rais.
